Construction Season to be on the Biggest Ever for Sioux Falls

Meeting today – March 10 at 2:00 pm

The City of Sioux Falls Public Works department invites you to learn more about our 2010 construction program at the following event at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 10.

This construction season will be one of the biggest ever for the City of Sioux Falls. We are committing $33 million to address 1,200 city blocks.

Meet inside the Commerce Center, at the corner of Eighth Street and Phillips Avenue, for a preview of one of the most significant road construction projects coming up this year. Bids for work are also coming in below estimates, allowing the City to add more road projects to the 2010 program, which will be an added benefit to streets following an abnormally harsh winter.

You will also receive a map of the entire road construction program and find out how the City will use technology to keep residents updated on this year’s projects.
