About Missy

Hello and Welcome to my Blog!  As I write that I feel as if I am asking you to enter into some strange unknown universe…I am not sure why but if the reasoning ever emerges I will be sure to share it.

My name is Missy (really Michelle) but somehow my childhood nickname seems to have stuck.  I’ve often thought that maybe I should go back to my real name but I truly would miss every encounter with new people when they tell me they once had a dog named “Missy”.  It happens a lot!  But it is an incredible conversation starter as I am the care taker to four very unruly, yet needy four-legged children.  I am sure I will share many more stories on that topic in the future!

A few years back I decided to turn over a new leaf and I entered the incredible, amazing, and chaotic world of real estate.  This was a huge change from my background in Manufacturing Management, but it was time to move on.  The one common denominator was my love of working with people.  As I transitioned into my new work arena, I came to truly understand how my experiences with others drives every aspect of my life – the good, the great, and occasionally the ugly!

I started with the intent to blog in the real estate field but quickly changed my direction when I looked at what I was truly passionate about – and that is people and the experiences we have.  In a nutshell, I want to provide insight into the local real estate market coupled with the experiences I encounter in our metro Sioux Falls area.  It is a great community to live and grow in and provides so many things to share and enjoy.  The good values, great people and good weather (ok maybe that’s pushing it a bit!) all create a wonderful forum for blogging ideas.  I intend to share my thoughts, provide a little humor, and be a real estate resource as well.

Hey Missy,
Just wanted to let you know about the problem people in the Sioux Empire are having with there roofs aging prematurely. Certain Teed shingle corporation has allegedly sold faulty shingles from 1987 to 2005 which in turn has caused alot of houses to have shingles aging prematurely. I am a local carpenter in Sioux Falls that is trying to make howmeowners aware of this problem and helping them get a refund as well as a new roof. I have added a link to my website.
